    Default Swarming in Michigan?

Any signs of swarming in Michigan yet? I removed the queen and notched one of my hives yesterday. After I put the queen in a deep back on top of the of the original hive, separated by screening. I might move her today or try to run a 2 queen hive. Any thoughts?

I split all my over wintered colonies this past week and not a queen cell to be found. Our spring weather was to cold, rainy, windy and even a day with snow to allow for normal foraging and build up. Swarm season wont really get started until june

Went thru 2 overwintered hives at my second yard, pulled queens and notched the one. The other one had capped swarm cells the other did not. Timing is everything I guess.
