Default Mothers Day Swarm Using the Swarm Pole!

I actually caught two swarms this weekend...one was on Saturday right next door to me, and I'm not positive they were my bees, but there was about 5 lbs of them. Pictures and video of the simple capture are on my blog.

The one on Sunday (Mother's Day) went about 10 lbs and was about 20' in the air. I got the chance to use my swarm pole and sit back and speak with several people about bees while we waited for the rest of the swarm to hive themselves. I was on site about 2 hrs total. This video, too, is on my blog.

Fun. I like the fact that your neighbors were so laid back about it.
