Did I Accidentally Make Creamed honey?
I cut the comb out of 3 frames that had overwintered in the hive and crushed it with my hands and put it in a paint strainer bag suspended over a 6 gallon bucket and let is sit in my basement for a week. What I ended up with reminds me of "spun" or "creamed" honey I've had. It is not clear, but is opaque. However it does not have that gritty mouth feel when honey has crystallized. When I've read up on this it talks about seeding the honey with 10% creamed honey, which I did not do.
Any idea what happened?
