    Default Hello from Cary, NC

Hello everyone! My name is Randy, and I've just been turned on to beekeeping.

My friend recently started her own hives, and I've got the bee bug too, now.

I haven't gotten any hives of my own yet, I'll be waiting until next year in order to do all the necessary reading, along with my family's move to a more rural location (near lots of alfalfa farms!)

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Beesource!

If the alfalfa is grown for seed production, this sounds very promising.
If the alfalfa is intended to be be cut for hay, it may be cut prior to significant blooms on the plant.
