Default need advice they are gonna swarm

To keep it short I have a second year hive thats loaded with bees. Tried to open the brood space up beginning of month but they are so productive they filled both deeps completely full of brood. I have swarm cells with larva and found one capped cell today. The weather hasnt been good so Im pretty sure they havent swarmed. I tried to find the old queen to split her into another hive but after two hours in less than ideal conditions I gave up. Very windy today. Of coarse the next couple days the weather is suppose to be great while Im at work. Tells me they will swarm while Im working and loose those bees. Does anyone have a brilliant ideas to help me keep them from leaving?

Split the hive before they do. Work quick and let nature take its course.

They swarm because the hive is overpopulated. Do the split and don't worry which one gets the queen..... they will make more.
The tendancy is to overthink bees. Simple is the idea here.
