    Default Newbee from Western N.Y.

I had my wife's permission to have bees, since we moved to a house with 44 acres. She is allergic to bees. Have two hives built and ready to go. I also have a thousand questions. To start off. With a front entrance feeder does it matter if I use a glass jar or plastic one.

    Welcome!
    I'm originally from Wyoming county.
I'll let others comment on the entrance feeders I have no experience with them.

Welcome to the site! I'm a newbee but have been told that entrance feeders encourage robbing. I am using bucket feeders on top of my inner cover. Works great. Those girls can drink! They go thru a lot of syrup and fast! I can't imagine having to keep filling a jar.

Welcome! Plastic or glass does not matter. Entrance feeders are the worst for robbing as Lazer said. Use an entrance reducer if you must use a front feeder. You can use it for water when you get a real feeder.
