Hello all. I am new to this, so forgive me if I am going over familiar territory. I have built two top bar hives, and have them cordoned off into three compartments, with a hole drilled in the wall of each to help bees move from each area. The guy who I'm getting my nucs from said they like smaller spaces, and I've read that bees will move from larger spaces (such as a decompartmentalized hive.

I drilled this 3/4 inch hole for ventilation and for the bees to go from area to area, but do I need more holes for them to traverse through the nest?

Here is a photo of my hive
