    Default Small Hive Beetles...

    Below is a link to a study done at Clemson on the SHBs that is very detailed and includes great color photos that would help many with identification.

    This may have been posted here before I don't know. I was just doing some research for a talk at a bee club and found it and thought it my be helpful.

    we've had them in michigan for couple years now. I have not seen any in my overwintered clusters. I suspect they come up from overwintered migratory coloniescoming from the south. I haven't notice them getting prevalent until early july. I hate them, but not as much as varroa.
