    Default Let the horses run!!!!!

Yesterday , April the 7th, the first swarm got into one of my swarm traps. And it is a big one. A seven frame deep, almost full of bees. Eight days earlier than last year.
    Happy <<fishing>> to anyone.

I also have 21 on the field , in a long long range from my appiary, some 25 kms in a circle. Unfortunately I have no fotos, cause I was there by the time the last bees were going into the trap. Every time I inspect a trap , and see bees going in and out, I feel like having the six numbers of lotto.

What are you doing to your traps to get them.? 5 frame nuc or 10 frame deep?

I have made special size, seven frame deeps, to catch the 30+ liter volume.
During the rest of the year , I use them as nucs.

I've got about a dozen 7-frame boxes which were free to me. They don't meet any type of standards other than they are just a great size for swarm traps (about 30+ liters)...and sturdy!!
