Default What kind of beetle trap

I have a hive that is full of shb. Just wondering what kind of traps ya'll use. Also what kind you can build yourself.

    Thanks, Isaac

    I like the Beetle Jail Jr's: http://beetlejail.com/store/index.ph...tegory&path=39

I tried the disposable beetle blasters and just don't care for them. They do not fit properly between two frames without spreading the frames further apart which causes other problems.

I also like using a screened bottom board with a tight-fitting oil tray underneath like the Freeman Beetle trap. That sucker works.

I've been using the DIY option slim-line CD case with boric acid bait. I've seen a huge drop in my beetle numbers.

Rossman Apiaries sells two very good types - a design tested and proven most effective by one of our local colleges - one is catalog number B30-90 this one is a complete bottom board and oil tray and the other, which can be used with any bottom board, is a spacing shim and a oil tray trap is catalog number M90A.
