    Default Surviving Winter in MN

    Hi

I am absolutely fumbling my way through this beekeeping process, but my bees are still buzzing and it is April! I started with two hives, captured a swarm (my own (rookie)), had three, and combined back to two for winter survival sake. More fun times to come.

This is an extremely busy time of my life as a father of three, teacher, coach, student, and, oh yeah, husband, so the bees are an awesome way to get my mind off of the business of my life, and focus on the busy balance of nature. I am looking forward to learning more from all of the experience that gathers on this site.

Welcome. I think I took one of those canoeing trips in Pine City.

The Snake River runs near our house. It is a really fun and fast float in about two-three weeks.
