As long as you are sure that you are talking about Elmers Exterior Wood Glue, there may not be a huge difference. However, I am willing to bet that you will find virtually no technical information available as to any performance standards that Elmers anything has passed.
I like titebond III also. As Vance says, it is waterproof (Titebond II is labled as water resistant) and it's minimum working temperature is less at 45 degrees.
