    Default Glue?

I see a lot of reference to title bond glue, what's special about it compared to Elmer's wood glue?

    That depends.

As long as you are sure that you are talking about Elmers Exterior Wood Glue, there may not be a huge difference. However, I am willing to bet that you will find virtually no technical information available as to any performance standards that Elmers anything has passed.

Titebond is happy to tell you exactly how their different glues perform:

I use Titebond III after reading about it on this forum, and then in the Fine Woodworking Glue test.

Titebond III is waterproof once dry and nothing I know of is better. I use it for building bows and it even bends and flexes.

I like titebond III also. As Vance says, it is waterproof (Titebond II is labled as water resistant) and it's minimum working temperature is less at 45 degrees.
