    Default Chinese queen cages?

Ran across this page on alibaba (sort of the chinese ebay) with various kinds of queen cages. They look...different. I suppose one issue they might have is they don't seem designed to hold any candy.

    Thoughts/observations?

All seem to be wholesale only, no chance to check out for a few bucks.

I like to support Kentucky owned business so I buy from Kelley's, when I don't make it myself.

Alibaba isn't a Chinese Ebay. They are a listing for bulk goods for exportation. This is where all of our imported dome smokers, most hive tools, grafting tools, and plastic queen cages Betterbee and Dadant sell come from.

The quantities are usually pretty large for the average beekeeper. I looked into buying a decapping tank through them and I think I had to get 10 minimum order. I have also looked at foundation rollers on there and it was the same deal... had to buy too many at once.

Not to hijack the thread but I wish someone in the US would carry these:

I managed to get ahold of a few and they work great. Flip the lid open or closed with a finger while holding the cage in the same hand. Keeps the other hand free. To introduce a queen, keep the lid open parallel to the back and jam some queen candy along the whole opening. A cotter pin sticks through the back of the cage, ends are outside the cage, so you can simply hang it in between frames by resting those pin ends across the top bars. No smushing it into wax. Can be removed/checked later without even moving the frames.
