I lost four hives out of nine this winter. Three were CCD, but one was full of dead bees and there still were frames of honey in the hive. On the frame top bars of the top brood box, I just brown spots that look like someone had drop small (1/4 inch dia.) droplets of chocolate syrup. Does that sound like Nosema? If is does, will freezing those frames kill it so I can reuse them this spring or must they be destroyed?
