    Default 1 gallon glass jars

Not having any luck finding gal. glass jars for feeding.
Asked at a few different places yesterday and it seems they have all
    gone to plastic containers.

Anyone have any ideas where to find glass gallon jars free or reasonable.

Saw a gal. cracker jar w/lid on amazon but it would cost $20 plus to get one here , ouch.

Maybe cheaper to buy pickles from Sams or Costco?

Half gallon Ball jars for canning. They come in a case of 12 for less than $12. You can put them over hole in inner cover inside an empty deep.

Home Depot and Lowes have new, lined, empty paint cans that work great.

I've gone to hive top feeders. FatBeeMan has a great plan for one that doesn't leak AND the bees don't drown. It holds more and can be refilled without disturbing the hive.

Why spend the $$ on specialty jars when you could spend it on feeders?

Specialtybottle.com is a good source if you must. Gallon ziploc bags on the top bars are infinitely better and a dime apiece. The bees can take the syrup day and night in cold weather as the cluster keeps the feed warm.
