    Default how to keep bees from absconding in a tbh

    as the title says i am going to get bees soon to put in my ktbh any tips

    Leave only 9 or 10 bars from them to work with and place your follower board after the bars. Too much room and they will bust out.
    Check on them from a distance and only go in to release the queen after three days if the bees didn't release her themselves.
    Then leave them alone for a while. They will need to make comb for the queen to lay. She will be antsy to do so which will make her more apt to fly the coop.
    Keep the time in the hive to a minimum.

    what if i catch a swarm then do i just put her in a queen cage for a few days
