So I built my first top bar hive and am debating in my mind about where the entrance/exit for the bees should be. The plans I used to build the tbh show a circular opening at the bottom center of the long side of the hive. I have seen other plans that show the opening at one of the ends on the bottom and instead of a circular opening those plans show a long rectangular opening. Yet others show openings at the top on all sides.

I'm thinking I want a circular opening on one of the ends at the top. Is this advisable? I'm open to suggestions as to why an opening in another place would be better, I just want to know why. I will have screened ventilation regardless that can be partially closed for cold months.
