According to today's NYT the Asian Needle ant has been steadily displacing the Argentinian ant, and "Asian ants are thought to have come to North America in the 1930's and have since spread to Alabama, New York, Oregon and Virginia, among other states." These ants can give venomous stings that can cause weeks of burning and itching. Has anyone come across these in their beeyards? Let's see if we can not mention Neonic's or Russell Apiaries in this thread. Please.![]()
