As the title says, I have 20 frames of honey and comb that needs to be stored until spring splits, freezer or something else? Thanks all.

Where are they now? Keep them in a cool dry place where rodents can't get to the. Freezing isn't necassary.

Still in hive that I've moved to my shop. It's not rodent-proof but I could close off hive to make so. Shop is kept at 40 F currently.

If you don't have any rodents around it should be okay.
I was in Colorado Springs last week. Where is Redlands?

I believe someone said that they ended up with a basement full of moths because they didn't freeze the frames for a couple of days before storing them inside. The moths may not be a problem this time of year, but maybe it's something to consider.

Stickey,
I just put mine in an unheated shed 'till I need them in the spring. I suppose you could put them in an empty deep with an OC on the top and bottom and throw a tarp over them if you feel better about it. That would be good until the bears wake up.
Steve
I'd freeze them for a couple of days to kill the hive beetles or they will ruin the honey.

No sign of hive beetles, I put most of the frames in freezer for splits and kept 4 full frames out to harvest 1 side only, they will get frozen as well then used for spring splits. Trying to find a broken freezer to use for long term storage.
