Default Asian predatory wasp and asian honey bee

Images of the asian predatory wasp. Its not real clear but that is a gallon or so jug and its wine!!!! They brewed for 6 years... i did not try this.

Also images of likely asian honeybee. Can anyone tell the difference between European and Asian honeybee? Attachments not working but here is a photobucket link:

This SHOULD be working. If not someone shoot me a PM or post its not working. ( I am working with some old technology and versions here) Sorry about some of the not so clear photos. That wine nearly made me sick looking at it. It was rough watching people drink it.

    Dan not in NY...

I can't tell from the photos, Dan, but the honey bees that you photographed may really be western honey bees, Apis mellifera. A. cerana is the more similar, "common" eastern Asian honey bee, but I've read and heard that it is becoming increasingly scarce as beekeepers manage more and more colonies of A. mellifera in eastern Asia.

This link (http://www.animalhealthaustralia.com...ney-bee-ID.pdf) provides side-by-side comparisons of the two species for non taxonomists, probably as clearly and as well as any electronic version that I've found. The two are on page 5 in the link.
