I did a hive check today on a sunny warm day into the 50s.
Apparently the new queen is doing her job of good laying pattern.
Already there is one frame of sealed brood. Another is on its way packed with
solid pattern of yellow, light orange, and whitish pollens. And the last frame got
some new eggs all over.
I took off the top empty hive and put sugar syrup on top after covering the hive.
Here are some pics. They are flying fast to pick up the syrup. What a scene with so
many worker bees around. I felt a calm buzz all around them. Can you see some larvae
on the frame?
