To keep me from having to search every profile on the site.... are there any Commercial Beekeepers located anywhere around New York City or in New Jersey?
Harvey's honey is the closest one I know of to NYC. They are in Monroeville NJ. They are also member's on here. That is if by Commercial you mean Migrator.
Thanks Bluegrass... Am going to be in that area of the world for a while very soon... am hoping some yankee Beeks would kindly want to do a meet and greet with a southern beek while I am there.... would like to see and hear how you do it in the north and your methods there... Hope some folks up that way will let me know...
A lovely drive from NYC is Fairfield County CT. There are a lot of knowledgeable beekeepers in the area, some sideliners, and some hobbiests. We also have the Backyard Beekeeper's association with regular monthly meetings and workshops. Feel free to look us up and stop by. We even have some well known beeks in the area like Al Avitabile (Co Author of the Beekeepers handbook).
Thanks for the offer bluegrass... I might just take ya up on that offer. Depends on work.... my schedule and such. I will let you know if I can make the drive though.
Thanks again
