Im looking for a Heating Tool that melts wire into foundation. Totally new to bee keeping, but I have and
Ole friend that is teaching me. And he prefers me to use a melting tool as he does to secure the wire to
the wax foundation. Im using wedge top bar and grooved bottom bar med. frames.
Thanks

This is the greatest site I have seen, thanks for all the helpful information
One more question, he also uses a small brass bushing to go into the
Side bar which keeps the wire from cutting into the side
Frame, where can I get this brass bushing.
Again thanks for all the help folks
Ronmat
I have used staples.
I have used eyelets.
Eyelets are faster & easier for me.
As long as I am only buying hundreds, the price difference is insubstantial.
I don't know if it is cost. Two me it is easier to shoot a staple in then fiddle with that eyelet. What difference does it make why someone uses a staple? It is their choice. I just mentioned it as an option.
If I were to build an automatic machine to make frames I would use a staple.
100% of the staple users (two people) mentioned the cost of eyelets in your referenced thread...
