Catfish tremble when they hear my name!
Just curious.. how do you define or how do people in general define survivor type queens/ bees. I have 6 hives that have not had the tops off in 5 years...no treatments... no NOTHING. Don't know if the hives died and swarms re-occupied .. but they still look like they did 5 years ago... still docile... and 4 of the 6 are quite strong for January... Are they survivor bees?
Look at Wolf Creek Apiaries in Tennessee.

Fat Bee Man has them, not a terrible drive from your location. Jennifer Berry does as well but not sure if she is going to have any this year (according to her website).
What website is that?
Regards, Barry
This would be Jennifer Berry's website:

It appears that she is offering nucs for the 2013 season, but not queens.
