Have had my bees for about one year now- just coming out of the winter season here in SW Arizona... i'm the first to admit that i'm a bad beekeeper and have more or less neglected my 7 hives lately. The last interaction i've had with them was about 2-3 months ago when i rearranged honey filled frames in the supers so that all hives had relatively equal amounts.... ANYWAY, i watched a bee land on our outside b-b-que about 5 ft short of its hive (presumably) and her little but was just pumping back and forth.... Does this signify anything? No visual pollen to report in her sacs and she was certainly nowhere near any pollen or nectar source where she landed....

Also, when i first got the girls last year, they loved my waterfall between my spa and pool from feb to about jun. Then, they completely ignored it... today, they're back at it.... we've had decent rain this week. Any ideas for why this 'phenomenon' has occurred?

Thanks much in advance...
