    Cant i just boil some sugar up thick and let it set ? Will it harden ?

    I don't have the recipe handy but if you look in the Hive and the Honey Bee from Dadant Press it will give you some answers. I make mine from their book. Make sure it is not to hard. Tom

    Most important is not to darken it! That camelized sugar is indigestible for bees especially harmful in winter cluster when the bees are holding fecal matter. It is a lot of work too.

    beefast there are some very easy no-cook recipes also , I have one drying in the kitchen now. There basically just 1 1/2 oz. of water per pound of sugar and just a little vinegar , mix and spread in candy board and let dry .
