    Default New potential Beekeeper!

I am 46 years old and now have a 22 day old baby boy in the house.
My oldest child and his girlfriend had a son that they did not want to raise, so my wife and I are adopting this baby. I hope to have him out working the bees as soon as he is big enough to fill out a bee suit.
If I do it right, maybe he will get an enjoyment out of it and want to keep bees when I am old and grey!

Anyway, it is back to a lack of sleep and being tired all of the time for a while, but I reckon it will be worth it.

I wish all the best on this "new" beekeeper rearing endeavor, children all deserve the best we can give so looks like he's of to a great start. Teach him to always find the wonder in the world! :-)

My 1 yo has to go out and "see the bees" with daddy every day the weather is nice. We have a sliding glass door that overlooks the bee yard and she will stand there forever watching me work them. Bees was one of her first words! Its a great feeling to take her out there and squat down and teach her about them.
