    Default Home made wax cell cups

    I would be interested in knowing what size cell cups you use? The ones that I have made are a little over 5/16".I got the idea from fatbeeman's video on making your own cell cups. I looked at some of the cell cups made buy the bees and they look small compared to say 3/8".Here is a pic of the cell bar and cell cups I have made so far.

    I made some wax cups once, and the bees wrecked them all, while in the "polishing" phase. I switched to JZBZ cups after that.

    Dc, how do you get them off the dipsticks? I had tried dipping my own once, but didn't work because I couldn't get the cups off the sticks. By the way, they look fantastic!

    @westernbeekeeper:

    Soak the rods in warm water for a couple of hours, and they come right off.

    Thanks, David. I'll try that.
