Queen cell frame size

I have never put pics on here. I hope you can open. My question is. I built my own queen cell frame and the distance between the wax cup and the next frame is 1 - 1 1/4 inches depending on the wax cup. Is this enough space or should I rebuild it and give it more. I know I won't be able to put a protector on with that space, but wondering how long the cell might get. Thanks for your input.

I'd say it will probably work, however, some of the cells may end up attached to the bar below it. You can always give it a try and modify it later.
