I have the Maxant 20 frame, and LOVE it!!!
I have the 20 frame Dadant and love it. And when I say 20 frame I am talking about 20 frames from deeps.
Actually I have a friend who has the 18 frame Mann Lake extractor that he wants to sell... He doesn't use internet, and I finally got over to his place today to take some pics of it and post here for him. I don't know what they cost or how much he wants for it... but I do know he said he was the second owner and it pretty much looks almost new to me. I will try to get it posted in the "For Sale" section as soon as I get the pics downloaded. PM me with your email if you want to see the pics.
Thanks..

I am very happy with maxant
I have the 9 frame Maxant, its much stronger than the mann lake, or dadant I've used.
Wish I bought the 20 frame Maxant. You can't beet Maxant for customer service.
Dan
I have a Maxant and am very happy with it. It's a top quality American made unit.
Think about it....Buy American
I have the 9 frame Maxant, as well. It's a top quality unit. The only thing I'm worried about, is I may have not bought a large enough unit. If I need to upgrade, I'll buy from them again.
When you're comparing extractors, be sure to look at the gauge (thickness) of stainless steel. Before buying an extractor, I borrowed a number of different ones over the years. I ended up buying a Maxant, which is made of 20 gauge. Some of the imports are as thin as 26 gauge. Not only are they easily dented, I've seen them "flex" some while extracting, i.e., fail to hold their shape, which causes wobble.
