I installed a feeder from Walter Kelly number 12-s. After couple days it looked like not enough ventilation. As looked into this further, there was no way it could ventilate if the top plastic cover is in place on feeder. I thought about drilling holes in plastic cover, or leave cover off but that allows bees to enter from top, leave cover off and put screen on vent of inner cover. Are all top feeders this way, not top ventilation without modification? I noticed walter kelly has a vent super on next page that works in conjunction with feeder, I will make my own. I thought I would share this experience in case anyone else as green as I installs a top feeder, pay attention to ventilation.
