Is it true that it is so windy in Wyoming that the bees have evolved with larger wings on one side so they can fly in a straight line back to their hive?

I visited the wind river Indian reservation for a week in the early 1980's, June as I recall, and it was so windy I couldn't hear my wife yelling at me the whole time we were there!
I had a brother in law we used to visit in Cheyenne in the winter and you could add -20 temps to that wind in January. - I'm assuming you either have the toughest bees or the best beekeepers around.
There are exceptions, and sometimes frequently. Yeah we just had -25 F a couple weeks ago. The bees pretty much gotta be localized, and yes, there's a few gimmicks to keeping them alive, but hey, we're doing it, and it's not as complicated as you might think.
