Bees are flying heavy today in East Tn...

It's been 4 weeks since they got out good. No pollen yet but the there's always something in bloom with temps in the 60s. Dandelions are blooming, nice... It may not last for 3 days but it's good to see the ladies flying. I popped the tops and added some MegaBee mixed 1:1 with honey on waxpaper.

Hype how did their stores look I'm just down the road from you mine are out flying good today to. I've lost a few due to starvation I think and the ones out working are feeding on whatever they can get. If it doesn't get cold and is like last winter starvation in February is likely without me feeding.

They are lite, I'm in major feedback mode right now. Not worried but concerned. Feed back old dark honey I had from 2 years ago. Finally saw some orange and light green/white pollen coming in when I went back to check. The long range forecast show a major cool down for the next 3 weeks after Monday, it's going into the teens as lows for next weekend... sauger fishing weather. I'll take some pics tomorrow on what's blooming.

Bringing in a good bit of pollen here in Knoxville. Yellow to off white. I started with dadant winter patties this year and they seem to be doing great. I have not lost any yet.

With the temps in the 60s and 70s, will be bees move honey around in the hive to make it easier for the cluster to feed when it returns to cold temps?

Pollen here today in Central VA as well. Very pale, (maple?) and some dingy yellow. Also, some capped brood.
