This plant was blooming on January 1st, 2012 and still blooming as of 01/27/12. It is the only thing blooming in this area.

Saw some "thornless" mesquite blossoming out yesterday during a swarm removal; wasn't getting any attention from the bees yet, but flower chains are forming.

Mesquite looks like the flowers are just opening
Chinese Tallow still going strong
Lavender & most of my wildflowers fading
Prickly Pear still throwing out a few new flowers...mostly setting fruit though
Re: Do we need to start a new thread for 2013???????
Dallas, TX - dandelions, fruit trees, henbit, redbuds, elms, willows, mulberry tress, mistletoe, maples, daffodils, Irises, quince, camelias, azaleas - on warmer days the bees are very active and bringing in loads of pollen
plum trees today, bradford pear a few days ago on some of them, some by next week. Finally seeing a little henbit...was every where last year.
Weather is about to go nasty this week...big wind and rain (predicted highs mid 50s...lows low 30s)...and 30 mph north winds tomorrow
