Found some early goldenrod in full bloom at my brother's this afternoon. That explains the bright orange pollen the bees are hauling in as fast as they can.

Very early this year, typical bloom date is mid September.

The brazilian cherries (Eugenia uniflora) are in full bloom here on the Sunshine coast in sunny Queensland..... While an invasive weed it does produce a nice light honey, and is a good source of pollen in late winter.

This is so tedious to try and search for any useful information about a specific area or even a state the way it is set up.... I found this discussion helpful by species and time of year for bloom in general and can use it to better understand or look for my local bee fav's.
