    Why am I not seeing any Sumac blooming.
    Zip=28443 S.E. NC
    I see more & larger Sumac this year. We got perfectly times rain & I am hoping to get a little secondary flow from the sumac but I don't see any blooming yet?
    Any others in coastal Carolina looking at Sumac?
    Thanks

    sumacs are on the verge of popping.
    first sunflower at our house opened up over the weekend.
    seem to be a lot of options for the bees right now.

    64638 North Central Missouri - Linden -basswood trees started blooming 4 or 5 days ago. Yellow sweet clover started 10 days ago - white sweet clover started 4 or 5 days ago. Never saw a honey bee in my sumac - very little using the dutch/white clover. The persimmons bloomed two weeks ago for a week and the bees LOVED it! Wished it bloomed for a month!

    Just reporting a "blooms all year" plant - I only know it as "red apple succulent ground cover" - Saw a large patch yesterday that the bees were going crazy over. I got called out on a bee "cut-out" that turned out to be one of the best urban feeding stations in the county.

    I'd like to know more about this plant, if anyone is familiar with it.

    Found some early goldenrod in full bloom at my brother's this afternoon. That explains the bright orange pollen the bees are hauling in as fast as they can.

    Very early this year, typical bloom date is mid September.
