If you only put your zip code how do we know where you are? Please put town and state.

Still in the low to mid 30s during the day with off and on snow flurries predicted for all week. . Only had about 5 days the whole winter where the girls could get out and fly... Last year at this time it was warm for a couple of weeks but then had a reall bad cold snap towards the middle/end of April which reaked havoc on the apple trees and the bees.

First pollen loads of the season in my home yard, and plentiful amounts being gathered - light yellow gray color. Suspect red maple (silver maple/swamp maple) - as there's a few that finally popped open in the area earlier in the day.

Bees bringing in orange pollen. Found them in several patches of snow drops, Galanthus sp. These began flowering 2 weeks ago.
Yellow pollen, suspect pussy willow and or skunk cabbage
A couple with tan pollen, most likely Red maple but they are a week away from really popping.
