Went through 16 hives Tues. 12th, 50 degrees and sun. Wednesday 2 inches snow. Thur. 50 degrees and sun, went through 12 mores hives. Snow forcast for tomorrow(Fri.)

Bees working and bringing in pollen when it it warm enough to be outside. Temps up and down like crazy. 60 a couple of days then 30 the high the next. Carrying water also on warm days and scouting for pollen.

Dallas, TX - dandelions, fruit trees, henbit, redbuds, elms, willows, mulberry tress, mistletoe, maples, daffodils, Irises, quince, camelias, azaleas - on warmer days the bees are very active and bringing in loads of pollen

Purple sage just started, Rosemary has buds, All the fruit trees just forming buds about 3 weeks out from full blooms, plum is just starting

plum trees today, bradford pear a few days ago on some of them, some by next week. Finally seeing a little henbit...was every where last year.
Weather is about to go nasty this week...big wind and rain (predicted highs mid 50s...lows low 30s)...and 30 mph north winds tomorrow
The first crocus bloomed today! I had one small snowdrop bloom last week on Monday, but then it froze. This is in Monkton, Md 21111. Finally spring may be thinking about coming.
Snowdrops in full bloom, purple and white crocus blooming in the yard, daffodils just about to pop out by the back fence. Maples in bloom down the road a bit closer to the river.
I've seen a couple dandelions out of sequence, too, deadnettle just starting to show buds after blooming in December.

3/3/2013 finally started detailed gardening.

peach tree is beginning to bud
green guava is flowering on the top canopy
aloe vera is shooting up stalks with flowers that will bloom soon
Loquat is beginning to bear green unripe fruit the size of my thumb
apricot tree is blooming
Lavender dentata (french lavender) flowering/flowered
I have 4 other plants/trees i do not know of the names but they are flowering
(if i post pictures can you guys help ID them for me?)
Today has been a wonderful day, i opened up my hive for inspection and after i remove the lid and set it aside, i see my queen run around the top of the frames and crawled onto my hive tool. 1st month into bee keeping and first time i saw my queen since i got my hive.![]()

04 March 2013 Second bloom after weather killed off first couple blooms from a few weeks ago.

Purple sage moving along more every day
Apricot tree just sprouted blooms
Rosemary more and more this week compared to last week
Mulberry
Ash Juniper are in bloom
Cheery and Plum started a few days ago
Apples have buds no blooms
Golden Evening Primrose will be in about 1-2 weeks away
This is the start of spring we will have a little cold snap then heat
I get my bees at the end of March ( Newbee)
Temp high 68 lows 40's
Very windy
