Default Cold front, Bees still going at the water

I know that for the last 3 weeks or so, there has been no rain and the bees have really been drinking the water and I figured that they were using it to cool the hive. Now a cold front has come in with a couple of inches of rain and high's are running in the low 80's. They are still drinking a lot so I'm hoping that they are using it instead for something other than cooling. I know they dilute honey, but what else could it be for?

Cooling and diluting nectar down, there are no other uses for it that I know of in a bee hive.

That's what I hoped. I guess we are in a flow! Yes! It's hard to tell sometimes around here.
