    Default Hive mover

I seen a u tube video showing a hive mover.
It was made of 2 u shaped pieces tubing fastened
Together at the open end to work like a hinge.
Then it had a bar welded across the u about 12 inches
Up from the hinge part on both u shaped parts. Then it slipped over the hive
and when you lifted the tubing pinched the Hive and 2
2 persons can move the hive.
If this is something that can be purchased
I would like to find out where you would find one of these?
    Tks . Harold

    Here's one:

Brushy Mountain also has a similar product:

Its a good thing that Harold was very descriptive of the design he had seen. Look what happened the last time someone asked a more general question about a "Simple Hive Mover Design?"

Wonderfully. I used to pay my son with pastries to help me move migratory hives with one of those. He's a college senior now and unfortunately too far away to help move hives.

Works great if you have two people.

Dang those things are expensive for nothing more than 3/4" electrical conduit, a few bolts and a 1/2 hour of time.

Plus a shop to build them in, equipment in the shop, property tax, utilities, and other misc overhead that neither of us know about.

Wouldn't even need a wire welder. Flatten the ends of the cross bars, shape to fit and bolt through with lock tight.
Easier with a wire welder though.

I know a little about overhead.... I own a residential/commercial building company as well as an animal damage control company and a honeybee removal company.

I am thinking there is about 60% -65% clear profit on each one mass produced.
