Merry Christmas to all and many blessings for the New Year!
~ Bee Bliss
Merry Christmas from a newbie that loves this site and is learning a lot! Santa brought me YOU!
What a difference a day can make. A person can become unexpectedly homeless overnight as we all know.
Our son and his two roommates became homeless this morning due to a small, but potentially dangerous, fire in the basement of the home they rent. It could have been much worse. One of the roommates got up and used the bathroom at 7:30 a.m. and noticed that not only was the floor extremely warm, but also he heard gushing water. The water heater in the basement below was spewing flames by the valve(?). The basement appeared to be a hot sauna due to water squirting out of melted pipes (not metal) above the water heater, hitting the flames and turning into steam. We believe the water pipes melting actually was a blessing in disguise. The house now has no heat or hot water and is unlivable until that is restored.
By the time we heard of the fire a few hours later, they already were put up in a hotel by the Red Cross. Events like this can really turn a person's world upside down.
We are grateful to the Red Cross for the help they give those in need in the surrounding communities.
Clint,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, to you and all of our Beesource friends.
Bee Bliss,
I'm sorry to hear about your son's misfortune. I know it's a horrible thing to have to deal with over the holiday season, but thank God it was not worse. Had his roommate not gotten up, they may not be around today. I hope things work out for them and they get settled somewhere quickly.
To everything there is a season....
Merry CHRISTmas to all!!!!!
Bee Bliss, those melted water pipes apparently were some *very* nice Christmas gifts!!!
