Hope this pic is uploaded correctly. Eight wide mouth jars and four narrow mouth bottles were mounted on/in a 3/4 inch piece of plywood and fitted on top of a single deep and three standard supers. the jars were covered with a empty super box and a flat top. The hive was augmented by removing an adjacent hive allowing the field bees to drift into the jar hive packing it pretty good. This was in late spring. Recently I have started taking the jars. The jars have a single 1 x 4 inch strip of foundation glued to the jar bottom as a starter strip hanging in the jar.
The bees came this spring from BWeaver, The extra field bees are from HoneyBee Genetics (Old Taber bees).
