What kind of bee?
I'm located in the Philippines and it gets very hot and humid here. I was wondering what kind of bee is sturdy enough to survive these conditions.
I was thinking of the Italian bee (Apis mellifera ligustica) or the Russian honeybee but I know some beekeepers in the country who keep the local species of bees which are the Apis cerana and Apis dorsata. Any suggestions?

Re: What kind of bee?
Italians are an adaptable breed and are already used in similiar conditions to yours. Russians developed for very different conditions and I would not suggest them. I have absolutely no knowledge of the Dorsata or Cerana bees. Good luck.
