Smile Is this how experienced beekeepers see the influx of newcomers?

I noticed common sentiments in threads discussing why new beekeepers fail.

So when I came across this "product", I couldn't help but laugh hysterically and think this must be how the mass of newcomers appear when seen through experienced eyes:

I saw the same article before I read your post, and just shook my head and remembered the old saying that a fool and his money are soon parted. Bad enough for some beekeeper gadgets I've encountered, but the hives in this article are really pushing the envelope!

From the article: "but what if you live in a major metropolis yet still crave delicious honey and the warm companionship of a few million drones?"

    Try it. What could happen?

This thing has been floating around for a couple of years now. It's got to be one of the most commonly shared and discussed "designs" out there. Clearly created by someone who doesn't know anything about bees.

Of course that flowerpot to feed them was brilliant...
