That's a contradiction in terms - but would amount to the most minimal I suppose. If one didn't intervene - then they'd basically just leave the bees alone to do their thing in the wild.

Acebird's "non-intervention" would be too minimal to call it beekeeping, and on the other side of the spectrum, we add so much, and manipulate so much of the bee's environment (food, housing, defense against pests and disease, genetics, etc etc) That we don't know what's been a benefit and what's been a part of the problem.
So we try to find that "practical" breaking point. And that seems to be a different place for everyone.
