After whining for a few years on one of my landscape jobs that I should given some surplus demo lumber, they finally caved. Scored a small pile of 1X10, 1X12, 1X18 and 1X20 inch lumber. The wide planks are probably pine, smaller planks are rough old growth redwood and some pecan. I hear the pecan is not durable?





I already made these five jumbo boxes last year from the same batch.

Pecan:

"Rot Resistance: Considered to be non-durable to perishable regarding heartwood decay, and also very susceptible to insect attack."
