Due to glucose being very hard to find locally. Is there a substitute for glucose. Karo syrup no lonher contains hfcs. How about using honey? Any advise is, as always greatly appreciated !!

You're pretty courageous, wanting to make baker's fondant. It's a lot of work in my opinion.
The regular light Karo corn syrup is what I have used. One ounce per pound of sugar.
I will be using some purchased baker's fondant but some colonies have ten pound bags of sugar that I sliced open and soaked with two cups of water, then allowed to harden. I placed them over the inner covers, completely covering the openings as I would with the fondant.
