Default How to make cages for JZBZ cell cups

Made a few of these tonight using the ideas in this Utube video.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz7DD...e_gdata_player

A 12 mm socket was the perfect size.

There is a tutorial for a couple useful things on this video

Hopefully someone else can use the help

I ended up using the Mann Lake grid stuff without the grid. Just graft in the cell cups, insert in the yellow cup holders and once they are capped I can use the roller cages. I really don't know why JZBZ does not offer roller cages. Everyone would buy them.

I'm not sure I understand? "Mann Lake grid stuff"?

Is that their queen rearing system?

Yes they should offer roller cages

I did hatch out some virgins in cell protectors in battery boxes so I guess you could do the same in an incubator.

Depending on the (made by) JZsBZs Queen cages you may have (there are 2 designs), the newer version (which we carry) is designed to lock onto the tip of the orange JZsBZs cell protectors, to allow virgins to hatch directly into the stock JZsBZs queen cage.

I will try and post a video on YouTube in the next few days to demonstrate.

I can't figure out how the orange cell protectors lock into the queen cage. I think I have the newer cages?

Do the newer jzbz cages stand up on their own? When I have had queens emerge into cages, I've had to make something so they will stand up in the incubator.

I couldn't find a phot of the newer Cages so I assumed I had the newest type.
    Can anyone provide a link?
Just my luck whenever I buy a bunch or commit to a system they improve it!
