Snap, Crackle, Pop.

I have noticed, this sound coming from two of my hives lately. At first I figured since I had put entrance reducers on it may have had something to do with the bees passing each other maybe their wings thrashing against things. I know there is a logical answer to this snapping quandry. What could it BEE ?

It's your smoker that you some how left in the hive. Not good!

One of my hives made some crackle sound too during 1 of my inspections, it started as soon as I put the outer cover on and I thought oh no, did I some how just set fire to my own hives?!! It went away. juzzerbee

Newb here...
But I have heard that in my own hive.
I tend to think it might be the sound of them licking, cleaning, and propolising the interior of the hive.
Thousands of them doing it, all at the same time.

I dunno, but that's my theory.

It is the sound of SHB bouncing off of the bottom boards and walls when the girls give them the boot.

i have associated that noise with the working of wax. maybe they are capping some honey.
